The Muscle Maker Grill

Many establishments go in and out of Copper Tree Shopping Plaza overnight, but hopefully this one is here to stay! The Muscle Maker Grill offers healthy food that, surprisingly enough, tastes really good! When I first walked into The Muscle Maker Grill, I was intrigued by the set up of the restaurant. The kitchen area is open so that happy customers can watch as their meals are prepared from scratch. The Muscle Maker is not a super “fast food” restaurant in my opinion. It tends to be a little pricier and the wait tends to be a little longer, but that must be the price of quality because it sure tastes good! The staff was also very accommodating when I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap even though it was not on the menu. The cashier assured me that they could still make it and asked for my name. A few moments later the head chef called my name and consulted me as to how exactly I would like my buffalo wrap constructed. A short while later, he called me over and told me that he hoped it was exactly what I had in mind. Nine dollars got me a full wrap with one side dish. Side dishes from MM include everything from ceasar salad to pasta. The wrap was bursting with flavor and not too spicy, a perfect medium . The Muscle Maker Grill is a franchise that can be found in New York, New Jersey, California, and Florida. The restaurant’s niche is that its menu is created with the customers health in mind.

Moe’s is a Mexican restaurant in Mahwah that is a great find. It is a unique restaurant, very affordable, and delicious. It is not very far from the FLOW area and a lot of people enjoy it. Moe’s is very casual and appropriate for people of all ages. Personally, I have gone many times with friends and have run into people from town, older couples, and little kids. It is a similar set up to Subway in that the customers instruct the workers on exactly what they want, choosing ingredients to make a taco, burrito, quesadilla, etc. With every order comes chips and salsa. It is very good for picky eaters who want very specific items in their food, as well as those willing to venture out and try new things. The people are very friendly, accommodating, and it is definitely a good spot to hit up whenever you are craving some Mexican. The prices are extremely reasonable and I would recommend it to teens that are always looking to have fun and enjoy a good meal while saving money at the same time.

It’s Greek to Me!

Last week, my family discovered a new Greek restaurant that recently opened in Wayne at 37 Berdan Avenue across from Toys R Us in a small strip mall. It is appropriately named “Opa,” which means joy or hooray. As we drove to Wayne, I wondered if this restaurant would be the cause for celebration that its name lets on. When we arrived at the restaurant, the friendly hostess promptly showed us to our table. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful and nice throughout dinner. We ordered a large Greek salad to begin our meal and when the waiter brought it to our table we thought he had made a mistake. It was huge and would easily serve six people. The salad was delicious and we brought half of it home. Our dinners were just as good. We tried the lamb souvlaki, roasted chicken, and some lamb and beef sliders. The food and service were excellent. Hooray for Opa restaurant in Wayne!

Where Should You Take Your Date?

Let’s face it, as teenagers, we’re not made out of money; we have to pay for gas, and afford our social lives. This weekend you may be wondering where to take your date that is reasonably priced, local, and somewhat romantic.  A restaurant that can meet all your needs is Café L’Amore, located in the center of Oakland. The food served is delicious Italian cuisine. Every meal starts with fresh baked bread, and you may want to add an appetizer such as calamari.  Main courses could range from a traditional pasta dish, to a fish or chicken dish of your choice.  Some of the delicious dessert options are: assorted sorbets, ice cream, and cannolis.  I give Café L’Amore five stars; this wonderful meal will impress your date, but not make a big impression on your wallet.  Your date will be impressed with the setting, the food, and even the wonderful people serving you. So the next time you ask yourself where you can take your date, think of Café L’Amore.
